Independence
Platforms cannot pay for reviews, rankings or placement, and they don’t see pages before they’re published. Affiliate relationships are described on How this site makes money; they don’t change what I write.
Accuracy and sourcing
Prices, insurance and policies come from the platform’s own pages wherever possible, are dated, and are linked at the bottom of each page. Third-party sources are labelled as such. See How I review for the full process.
Writing about mental health
- I describe services; I don’t diagnose or recommend treatment.
- Every page links to crisis support, and no page suggests an online subscription as a substitute for emergency care.
- I avoid sensational language about mental illness and follow safe messaging guidance on suicide: no method details, and always a route to help.
- Clinical statements cite their source. A page only says it was clinically reviewed when a licensed clinician actually reviewed it, and it names them.
Use of AI tools
I use software, including AI tools, to help organise research and check pages for errors. Every fact is checked against its source and every page is edited and approved by me. AI is never used to invent experiences, quotes or reviews.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, email monica@therapyverdict.com. Factual errors are fixed promptly, and meaningful corrections are noted on the page with the date.
